Hatty’s work is deep rooted in an interest in people and motivated by a will to use visual storytelling to grow empathy and build connections. She makes documentaries and photographs that tell authentic, human stories by combining her artistic background with her inquisitive anthropological training. Hatty works with an intimate, cinematic approach covering stories across the arts, research and not-for-profit sectors. She has special interest in expanded documentary practice, shaking up media specificity and adopting more radical approaches to documentary film as a contribution to transformative narratives. Hatty also chooses to work with small, mission-driven businesses.
